Rant and Why Minecraft is awesome or super lame.

This first bit is going to be about idiotic religious people, not Warhammer 40k or anything hobby related whatsoever; so if you are one of the people I mention, could be one of those people or otherwise take offense to things which you are not apart of then please DO NOT READ THE NEXT PARAGRAPHS I will say when its safe to start reading again in bold.

Yesterday I was grading a stack of Phil 10 papers regarding Plato's Apology and came upon an essay which blew my mind. The author, who shall remain unnamed and furthermore be referred to as John, begun the essay with something along the lines of 'Plato talked to god because he was the wisest man around'. I was slightly confused by this sentence as it had no relevance to the prompt in any way.

I read through the rest of the essay, failed to find any relevance to the prompt and came to revelation that the author was referring to the Christian 'God' and not Plato's 'God of Forms'. At this point, I should mention that the name God was not capitalized once throughout the entire paper. All the essay told me was that Plato worshiped the Judeo-Christian God who didn't start existing until roughly 100 years after Plato's death.

Now this afternoon, I was walking back from purchasing some cough syrup and bumped into a man at a cross walk. At said cross walk, he asked me if I knew Jesus. Obviously I knew he meant 'Do you worship Jesus' so I said no and began walking my way home.
He followed me for the next ten or so blocks preaching to why I should convert to stop my eternal soul from burning in eternal damnation or some such garbage. Also, Hell only became 'Hot' when Dante wrote about it being such. Dante was persecuted by the Roman Catholic Church.

In the video below, some guy went and spent over a year making a 1:1 scale model of the Starship Enterprise. There's a video of him explaining the feat in exactly the voice I imagined from someone who just built a 1:1 scale model of the Enterprise in Minecraft.
